Human Resources Coordinator

The HR Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the successful operation of the Human Resources department, assuming a diverse portfolio of responsibilities with a keen focus on operational efficiency.

Primary position responsibilities include:

Partner with departments/colleges to conduct onboarding of all Adjunct Faculty and align with Human Resources practices, hiring policies, procedures, mandatory trainings, and identify potential barriers to goal attainment.Engage in collaborative efforts with departments/colleges to facilitate the comprehensive onboarding of temporary employees primarily university camp workers, ensuring their adherence to HR hiring policies, procedures, and mandatory trainings.Develop and monitor internal financial practices for the Office of Human Resources as the department's budget manager. Responsible for overseeing purchasing operations, including generating check requests, facilitating fund and budget transfers, preparing monthly expense reports, invoice payments, and reconciling billing statements. Additionally, in charge of maintaining office supply inventory and providing assistance for tasks such as catering.Proactively maintain the accuracy of the compensation master workbook by incorporating all updates related to new hires, transfers, exiting employees, and address any discrepancies and implement necessary updates to maintain accurate compensation records.Strategically advise and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to drive ongoing enhancements in the efficiency of the department and the services provided. Offer comprehensive Human Resources support to staff, faculty, and applicants by addressing inquiries related to human resources, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures, and facilitating assistance as required.Provide comprehensive responses to inquiries pertaining to HR-related matters, follow up to ensure resolution. Maintain confidentiality regarding employee issues and maintain the integrity of records.Perform data entry for new hires, transfers and exiting employees in Banner and CSOD systems, and verify accuracy of data through audits and query generation.The above statements describe the jobs’ essential responsibilities and requirements.
