The ideal Human Resources Coordinator candidate will be a hands-on, enthusiastic, self-starter who can effectively manage multiple priorities within a busy, newsroom environment. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for managing the onboarding and offboarding process, supporting recruitment, handling transactional matters, and fielding day to-day HR inquiries.
Responsibilities:
Provide HR administrative support to the Head of HR and Director of Talent Acquisition Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefitsSchedule interviews, candidate follow-ups, and conduct reference checksAttend talent acquisition events as neededCreate and maintain job description libraryOversee Intern check-ins and workshop scheduleProvide administrative assistance during performance review processHR Database ManagementOversee and manage COVID-19 protocolsCoordinate and facilitate training as neededCoordinate yearly employee Flu Shot ClinicOther duties and projects as assignedRequirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in HR or related fieldWorking knowledge of HR processes is required.Experience using Workday is required.Strong skills using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience in Talent Acquisition, a plusExcellent judgment, integrity, and discretion involving confidential information. Must have strong phone and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed.Be able to complete tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment (with quick turnaround)TMZ is a workplace that requires the COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment.
