Kimley-Horn is looking for a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to join our Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) office on our HR team! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities Provide exceptional support to all internal partners and clients; respond promptly to questions and take ownership of follow upSupport HR Assistant with the onboarding process for new hires as needed, including communication, initiating pre-employment paperwork, background checks, and coordination of drug screensLead new hire orientations and associated integration activities to ensure a positive onboarding experienceParticipate in and support special projects that have impact across the region and organizationProvide primary support for the annual and semi-annual performance review processes across the regionPartner and support the Benefits team with maternity & paternity leaveConduct regular check-ins with employeesProcess employee updates in the HRIS system, including but not limited to changes with job/role FLSA status, supervisor work schedule, and termination informationPerform regular audits of HRIS system, in collaboration with HR Assistant(s), to ensure accuracy of employee informationCollaborate with HR Partner(s) to conduct and communicate termination process to supervisors and departing employees, including departure paperwork, exit interviews, and updates to employee file within HRISLead trainings in collaboration with HR ManagerCollaborate with HR Manager on general employee relations concerns, performance management, team building, complaint/conflict resolution, career development, and training facilitationAnalyze data and provide recommendations to improve processes, employee engagement, and policy alignment across the region. Qualifications Ability to maintain confidential information and demonstrate a high level of discretion and judgementAbility to manage multiple tasks concurrently, prioritize, and maintain composure in a high-paced office environmentDetail-oriented with auditing, file management, data entry, and employee requestsExcellent organization and follow-through; demonstrate ownership, sense of urgency, and initiative with task completionEffective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with a broad range of employees, allowing for flexible and appropriate communication with various levels of the organizationFlexible, including the ability to execute tactically and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situationsAbility and desire to work collaboratively with team members within the region, as well as across the organizationAbility to maintain positive working relationshipsBachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, business or related fieldTwo or more years of professional HR-related experienceDemonstrated interest in building a career in the HR profession, which may include relevant internship and/or post-graduate work, a plusValid driver’s license: ability to travel, sometimes overnight, to support the needs of the regionProficiency in Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to learn HRIS and recruiting systems
