Human Resources Coordinator

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting human resources activities including staffing, compensation, benefits, learning, associate relations and performance management.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

Support core human resources programs including staffing, associate relations, compensation, benefits, performance management and learning.Ensures timely completion of required associate documentation for employment-related processes.Develop and recommend solutions to a variety of human resources issues.Supports administration of human resources policies, programs and procedures.Works with managers and associates to investigate and resolve associate relations issues.Acts as a liaison between the human resources and the field.Answers day-to-day HR questions for employees in regards to payroll items, benefits, and policies.Assists with special projects as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working in a human resources department.Experience with a variety of diverse internal and external customers and contacts.Prior experience with HR/payroll systems.Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Career Level Dimensions

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

Typical Training/Experience

HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Problem Complexity

Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.

Autonomy

Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.
