ROLE OVERVIEW:  

OXGENE, a WuXi Advanced Therapies (WuXi ATU) company, provides cell and gene therapy pioneers around the world with the technologies, automation platforms and service solutions they need to come first in the race to deliver ground-breaking therapeutics. Together with WuXi Advanced Therapies, we offer our customers an end-to-end solution for cell and gene therapy development, spanning early pre-clinical discovery to GMP manufacture and commercial lot release.

 

The job holder will be an integral part of the Global HR team, working closely with other team members to support activities across recruitment and the full life cycle of OXGENE employees. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent time management skills, a high level of attention to detail and always be willing to pitch in and lend a hand.

Responsibilities Participate in day-to-day administration, communication and implementation of HR policies and programs. Prepare and administer HR related documents including contract change letters, salary increase letters etc.Reports, tracks, and processes HR data, including promotions, transfers, new hires, safety related data, employee referrals, employee recognition; employee leavers and update HRIS.Supporting monthly payroll by keeping the payroll team informed of changes and movementsServing as an informatic resource for general HR information, responding to enquiries and requestsManaging employee data on the internal HR system and maintaining filing of personnel records for all employeesSupport in delivering HR projects to support growth, culture, engagement, wellbeing initiatives and to build the employer brandCoordinating the full lifecycle of recruitment processes including creating job postings, performing candidate sourcing, managing the candidate experience, and maintenance of candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and central HR trackerPhone screening potential candidates where relevantProviding coaching and guidance to hiring managers and teams to improve the recruitment processLiaising with recruitment agencies on specific rolesBeing the point of contact for and building relationships with candidates during the selection process, maintaining a positive reputation of the company as an employerOverseeing and enhancing all onboarding processes; maintaining a new joiner tracker and being point of contact for new joinersWorking side-by-side with the Global HR team to proactively look at opportunities to streamline and/or enhance processesThis position is working closely in a small HR team and will give you the exciting opportunity to get exposure to all areas of recruitment and HR Qualifications

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:  

Ability to build effective relationships with hiring managers, external recruitment suppliers, candidates and employeesPro-active, flexible, approachable, motivated and a good team workerExcellent communication skills, maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times both internally and externally with potential candidatesStrong organisational skills, including time management and multi-taskingExcellent attention to detailIdeally experience of recruiting and/or HR in life sciences or biotechnology or a demonstrable interest in this areaExcellent knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employee handbooksAn up-to-date good working knowledge of UK law and HR best practicesPrevious experience using UKG is desirable 

 

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:  

CIPD Qualified or working towards 

 

JOB LOCATION 

 

We have offices in the UK and USA. This role will be located at The Oxford Science Park, four miles south east of Oxford, with parking and good public transport links from Oxford.
