ResponsibilitiesThis role is part of a coordination team that supports Shawmut and the People Strategies Team in providing strong administrative support in a variety of HR functions as needed. The coordinator collaborates with managers and the People Strategies team to support talent acquisition, onboarding, database maintenance, benefits, employee relations, maintenance of employee records to ensure compliance with all state/federal laws, and monitoring and tracking performance management and training programs. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of new and ongoing projects and activities supporting employees across the company.
Supports the hiring of new employees in partnership with the Recruiting team helping to schedule interviews and preparing for new employee onboardingMonitors FMLA status of employees; works with managers to ensure LOA’s are in an approved status and maintain HRIS to reflect the appropriate statusSupports employee benefits activites processing employee benefit elections and changes Monitors, tracks and follows up as needed the various components of training and developmentVerifies and processes all invoices from vendors for the People Strategies teamPerforms data entry and QC of employee information while helping maintain files and compliance documentation Qualifications 1-2 years of human resources administration experience a must, includes any co-op or internships in human resources.BS/BA degree requiredAbility to multi-task and remain focused in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills with ability to interface across all levelsEnergetic, can-do attitude; ability to work both independently and within teamsAttention to detail / strong organizational skills
