Human Resources Director


The Human Resources Director is responsible for the strategy deployment as well as driving engagement, culture and inclusion. This person is also responsible for implementation and coordination of all policies and programs at Emerson Costa Rica related to employment, learning and career development, talent attraction and management, employee relations, organizational development, compensation and benefits, and performance management. The HR Director will also fully deploy the Global Business Services, Site strategy in conjugation with the General Manager and Operational Excellence.   

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Defines Human Resources strategy for Costa Rica aligned with the business needs liaising with leadership, providing HR expertise and support  Develop and implements HR objectives, policies, and practices in Costa Rica, in Support of the strategic objectives and to attract, retain and empower appropriately qualified employees. Develops and implements Costa Rica site overall HR strategy in line with business strategies, market tendencies and group policies Supports the execution of projects by providing HR consultancy, guaranteeing adherence with all corporate policies/tax and immigration requirements. Develops and agrees upon annual communication plans for the business. Guides and ensures their implementation within the organization in support of both strategic objectives and employee relations, all while respecting legal requirements. Conducts salary review processes for all employees, ensures that salary proposals are submitted on time and in the appropriate format with all relevant information and, after approval, ensures timely communication and implementation while respecting labor legislation requirements. Leads compensation and benefits programs in accordance with company policies and practices, including any expat administration and payroll management in coordination with Total Rewards. Guides and leads organizational review processes in such a way that appropriate information is provided promptly and accurately. Tracks and implements, as vital, the career development and succession plans agreed upon during organizational reviews. Ensures that successors are developed for all key positions within the organization. Collaborates with internal and external learning and development program providers to support the implementation of Emerson's development strategy in coordination with Enterprise L&D. Guides and advises the development and implementation of performance management processes within the organization so that each employee has an annual discussion with their manager about their performance and future development and so that training and development needs are addressed, and their impact on individual performance is assessed. Acts as the company's ethics point of contact and ensures the communication and implementation of the company's policies on ethics and conflict of curiosity about compliance with the legislation. Provides indicators, analytical data, and reports to support budgets, forecasts, and employee surveys. Optimally leads the human resources team by developing the skills and proficiencies of the human resources staff and supping an environment where team members collaborate in the planning and execution of services, using all communication channels. Cultivates and develops relationships with internal and external clients to align with the vision, mission, values, and strategies of Emerson Costa Rica.  Develops and implements employee programs for wellbeing, motivation, and engagement with the company. Performs any task given by the direct supervisor or management, related to job responsibilities and in compliance with the law.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Post graduate degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration or related field 7-10 years’ experience in HR leadership capacity, preferably in multinational companies GBS experience desirable. Proficient in Spanish and English Comfortable in dealing with employee relations, external and internal customers; employees and management at all levels. Employee engagement champion Good communication, networking & relationship skills Influence and accountable of GBS and HR strategy deployment.
