Position Description

The US HR Director for the Data Center vertical will lead HR operations across the US manufacturing plants, serving as a strategic partner and operational leader to support the organization’s rapid growth. This role will provide HR support for the US General Managers and salaried remote teams, with HR managers in the US plants reporting directly to this position. The ideal candidate will bring an understanding of manufacturing workforce needs and have experience/interest in building programs for talent pipelines as well as onboarding and training programs. Additionally, they will focus on process optimization to enhance operational efficiency.

 

This role reports to the Group HR Director – Data Centers and Commercial IAQ and has a dotted-line reporting relationship with the Vice President-General Manager, NA Data Centers.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

Serve as the primary HR leader for US manufacturing operations within the Data Center vertical, aligning HR strategies with business goals. Provide HR guidance and support to US GM’s and salaried remote teams. Lead and mentor HR Managers across US manufacturing plants, fostering a cohesive and high-performing HR team.

Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition

Develop and implement strategies for building a robust candidate pipeline to support the needs of a high-growth vertical. Partner with recruitment teams to attract top talent for both plant and salaried roles. Anticipate workforce needs and proactively address gaps.

Onboarding, Training, and Development

Design and execute comprehensive onboarding programs to ensure new hires are integrated effectively into the organization. Develop and implement training programs to enhance workforce skills and leadership capabilities. Support career development initiatives for plant and remote teams to foster employee growth and retention.

Process Optimization

Evaluate and streamline HR processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices in HR operations across manufacturing locations and remote teams.

Employee Engagement and Relations

Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture. Provide guidance on complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Collaboration and Reporting

Collaborate closely with the Group HR Director and VP/HM to ensure alignment of HR initiatives with organizational goals. Prepare and deliver HR performance metrics and workforce insights to leadership teams. Required Education & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a management role within manufacturing or industrial operations. Experience in talent acquisition and workforce planning for salaried employees or a manufacturing facility. Knowledge of labor laws and regulations in the US. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related systems.
