Responsibilities Assist with administrative duties within the Human Resources Department.Process employment applications and maintain tracking log; assist in scheduling interviews and pre-employment testingAdminister employee engagement activities.Assist implementation and management of EH&S programs, policies and proceduresUpdate Applicant Tracking System with new hires; off-board terminated employeesPrepare and conduct trainingConduct new hire orientationsMaintain weekly manpower schedule; Update Kronos with shift changes (audit records)Run weekly attendance reports and administer write upsAssist and motivate with completion of required training courses.Administer HRIS system changes.Assist with employee benefit issuesAssist on various HR special projects; participate on a team.Maintain employee filesAssist with walk in questionsParticipate in plant and departmental meetings.Serve as back up to HR Generalist and HR ManagerIdentify hazardous conditions within the plant and recommend corrective measuresInvestigate and prepare presentations for incidents and property lossesAssist with Management of Change reviews on production equipment and processesReview, electronically file, and maintain SDS sheetsConduct safety risk assessmentsConduct safety walksConduct Regulatory InspectionsOther duties as assigned Qualifications

General Education High School Diploma with a minimum of three (3) years similar Human Resources position. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience is preferred.

 

Language Skills:

 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employee policies and procedures, handbooks, and benefit information. Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.

 

Computer Skills:

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft software and Human Resource systems.

 

Reasoning Ability:

 

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must be detail-oriented and able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Working knowledge of labor laws and requirements preferred. Ability to work with confidential information
