Position Details
The Human Resource Generalist serves as a Business Partner to operational counterparts while directly guiding team members and other members of leadership. Reporting directly to the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resource Generalist translates human capital effects to support our goals like change projects, building talent, engaging team members, enhancing culture, and finally improving performance. This position will reside in Greenville, South Carolina at the Grainger Distribution Center. The Human Resources Generalist works onsite supporting second shift operations working four 9 hour days Monday through Thursday and one 4 hour day on Friday. Start time is flexible but will be approximately 12:00 PM EST.
You Will
Facilitate programs and implementing process improvements within Human Resources and across the Distribution Center. Handle all on going people-related projects. Implement Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs, which support our strategy. Identify ways to improve resources to provide efficient structure to our organization. Ensure compliance with Federal and State legislation related to all human resources matters. Help with the implementation and administration aof communications plans. Help administer the workers compensation program for the facility.You Have
Bachelor's Degree BA/BS or equivalent Required 5+ years of experience in related field Required A degree in Human Resources, related field or equivalent progressive experience Working knowledge of Human Resource practices with expertise in staffing, new hire orientation and onboarding Experience solving human resources issues. Manage confidential information. Diagnose problems, develop alternative solutions, and recommend and implement a course of action. Proficiency in systems, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Word, Publisher and PowerPoint and OutlookRewards and Benefits
