**Job Description**
**Position Overview:**
Responsible for a variety of day-to-day HR functions including, but not limited to, benefits administration (Health & Welfare, 401K, stock purchase plan, educational assistance plan, etc), workers’ compensation administration, leaves of absence administration, recruitment, AAP administration, employee relation issues, training, orientation, records maintenance, employee recognition programs and other various projects.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Maintains new hire databases.
+ Performs recruitment activities, attends job/college fairs as needed.
+ Performs new hire orientation.
+ Coordinates annual open enrollment process. Communicates changes to all employees. Assists employees with online enrollment process as needed.
+ Handles day-to-day operational activities such as filing, basic employee and external informational requests.
+ Submits and tracks workers’ compensation claims for injured employees to ensure they are following treatment.
+ Participates on Activities Committee to plan employee engagement events.
+ Maintains and coordinates educational assistance program and employee recognition program.
+ Assists employees with general day-to-day inquiries on benefits, policy and general issues.
+ Maintains personnel records accurately and confidentially.
**Education and Experience:**
+ 2-year degree in Business Administration, concentration in Human Resources desired.
+ 2+ years’ experience in Human Resources.
**Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Familiarity with Federal and State Employment Laws such as FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, Worker’s Comp, etc.
+ Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers
+ Knowledge of MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
+ Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environment, problem solving and completing priority projects and required deadlines.
+ Ability to handle confidential information of highest level.
**Training Requirements**
+ Job specific preferences: ADP EV6, Workday, E-Verify
