Spectrum Mobile’s Human Resource team is searching for an HR Generalist who will serve as the first point of contact for HR issues in a fast-paced call center, provide guidance on employee relations issues and guide employees through the leave of absence process.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
Previous employee relations, leave of absence and/or employee engagement experienceProven ability to partner with and advise leaders on HR issuesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsExperience in successfully handling multiple projectsThe ability to work 100% onsite at our call center office in Kansas City, MissouriMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure Company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout the area of responsibilityEffectively communicate and execute necessary changes to policies and proceduresPerform employee relations functions including support and counseling regarding personnel and job related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, review and assessment of termination requestsConduct employee related investigations as necessaryHandle workers compensation, first report of injury database and safety regulations processCoordinate the administration of all Leave of Absence programs and processes including Transitional Work Program and Accommodations ProcessConduct health and welfare benefits open enrollment meetings and employee meetings to update or roll out other benefits related programs as neededConduct employee and supervisor training including benefits, policies and procedures and prevention of harassment and discriminationEnsure timely and accurate entries to the HRIS databaseEnsure timely and accurate payroll entry for designated client groupPerform audit and compliance functions as requested on items such as audit reports verification, commission reports and payroll informationMaintain employee records in compliance with state and federal requirementsOn an as needed basis, participate on various HR committees established to resolve employment challengesAssist in the management and execution of bonus plans, merit processes, and routine/special request reportsAssist in the annual budget planning process as neededMay recruit and staff from internal and external sourcesAll other duties as requestedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Business or a related field2+ years of HR Generalist experienceOr an equivalent combination of qualifying education & experiencePrior experience working in a call center environment is a plus!Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in handling employee relations issues, coaching local leadership, and administering employee engagement programsCertifications for Human Resource Professionals (PHR, SPHR), or HR specific coursework preferredREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE
