Human Resources Generalist Valley Stream, NY, USA Req #12141 Thursday, December 19, 2024 Human Resources Generalist The Human Resources Generalist is responsible to assist the HR team with a variety of duties including benefits and leave administration, employee assistance, and special assignments as needed. This position requires strong analytical skills, detail orientation, and a candidate who is process and data driven. Duties and Responsibilities + Maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records and ensure regulatory compliance. + Coordinate benefits processing, including, enrollments, COBRA, and all benefit changes. + Prepare monthly benefits and Leave of Absence report for HR Manager review. + Distribute materials for benefits orientations and open enrollment and provide customer service support to employees to enhance understanding of the company’s benefits package. + Enforce the completion and thoroughness of all necessary requirements & documentations relating to the employees desired Leave of Absence. + Process all garnishment deductions and respond to Unemployment Insurance claims + Maintain complete confidentiality of all HR-related information + Process termination process for eligible employees + Enter compliance information into software system HCHB and track ongoing compliance via reporting tools. + Assist the department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees as needed. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred   + Proven experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position + Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS system (Empeon or HHA Exchange a plus) + Basic knowledge of labor laws a plus + Excellent organizational skills + Strong communications skills + Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred + Must be able to follow detailed oral and written instructions + Completes work, and documentation with accuracy and within agency time frames. + Highly motivated and can work without direct supervision + Must be able to keep & protect confidential information + Must be able to work overtime as needed Other details + Min Hiring Rate $50,000.00 + Max Hiring Rate $70,000.00 Apply Now + Valley Stream, NY, USA
