Human Resources Generalist

TalentWorld is recruiting an HR Generalist for one of our clients in Brampton.

The HR Generalist will provide a full complement of HR support to the Distribution Centre. You will manage the day to day operations of the Human Resources office and will be responsible for functions such as recruitment, employee relations, policy interpretation, training and development, HRIS management and coaching of associates and supervisors!

HR Generalist Key Responsibilities: 

Leads the recruitment effort from hourly associates to leadership. Partners with hiring managers to create effective job descriptions, post jobs on various sites, source candidates, interview, conduct pre-employment due diligence and on-boarding. Documents and supports employee relations needs including day to day issues, as well as more complex issues including investigations.   Counsels employees and managers on the application and interpretation of policies, practices and procedures and forms. Counsels employees on an as-needed basis. Interprets policy and benefit information when responding to questions from employees. Partners with Operations to oversee and manage the Temporary Workforce program (agency) for their shift.

 

HR Generalist Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources or related field. 5+ years of human resources experience required. Specific knowledge of several human resources processes and practices (employment law/compliance, compensation, organizational development, leadership development, hiring/termination processes, risk management). Experience with Workday or other similar HRIS programs required. Distribution or Manufacturing experience preferred.
