Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to participate in various company-wide workforce and Human Resources initiatives. This role focuses on employee development, training programs, and ensuring effective communication within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR administration, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information ethically and professionally.

ResponsibilitiesParticipate in various company-wide workforce and Human Resources initiatives addressing areas of employee development and training programs.Implement and execute training programs for business groups, including scheduling attendees, organizing training material, and processing and recording training assessment and evaluation forms.Conduct New Hire Orientation to ensure new employees are adequately introduced to company policies, procedures, and guidelines, and process all completed paperwork accurately.Assist in providing guidance and direction in the use of various development tools, approaches, and methods to ensure program effectiveness.Track development progress to assist in employee development, High-Potential programs, succession planning, and promotions.Administer employee retention and recognition programs.Assist the HR Manager in implementing effective retention strategies, including recognition, employee surveys, and performance management systems.Seek out and present alternatives to enhance engagement and employee communications.Drive improvements in communications and morale through focus group sessions and feedback.Ensure human resources files and employment records are accurate, organized, and up-to-date, in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.Update various reports, logs, and employee database information for HR or client group organization development records.Communicate HR and company policies and programs to site employees as needed.Provide superior employee administrative support by responding to employment-related inquiries and coordinating with related departments, other HR teams, and client groups.Handle confidential material and information in an ethical, professional manner.Essential SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field from an accredited institution.5 years of experience in HR, including generalist HR or office experience with exposure to organizational development and training, employee assistance, benefits administration, employee recognition, and retention programs.Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and guide processes through to closure.Knowledge of federal and state employment law and equal employment guidelines and policies.Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Ability to work effectively with site and corporate HR teams, as well as all levels of employees and management.Strong results orientation and a history of driving positive change with measurable results.Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.Ability to learn various processes and policies quickly to perform tasks and provide support as needed.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with HR systems such as ADP, Kronos, SuccessFactors, and UKG.SHRM or PHR certification, with a preference for SHRM.Demonstrated ability to implement development and training programs within a large corporate environment.Knowledge of core capabilities/competencies approach to staffing and meeting a large organization’s business needs.Knowledge of innovative sourcing and prescreening activities and related assessment tools.Understanding of FMLA, ADA, worker’s compensation, safety administration, benefits, and employee relations.Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule that includes every other Friday off (9:30 am - 6:30 pm or 6 am - 3 pm). The role requires interaction with blue-collar manufacturing workers and involves working on a true production floor that may not be the cleanest or most technical space. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $44.00/hr.
