**Job Summary:**
The Human Resources Generalist performs a variety of human resources functions and administrative duties, and answers questions in relation to policies and compensation. Actively involved in onboarding, terminations, paperwork processing and event planning.
**Job Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Ensures that job descriptions are up-to-date following ISO-9001 requirements.
+ Prepares and maintains personnel files; processes status changes including new hires, position changes, and terminations.
+ Runs reports in Paycor, as needed.
+ Manages the planning and coordination of all employee events.
+ Provides HR content for the TVs.
+ Prepares orientation paperwork and participates in new hire orientation.
+ Creates Paycor employee number and adds production employees into Factory Track so that employees are able to clock into “jobs”.
+ Answers human resource questions and inquiries, including benefit-related questions.
+ Schedules and communicates upcoming safety training classes for production employees.
+ Manages the 30/75 Day Production Follow-up interviews and manages the exit interview process.
+ Learns how to and can serve as a back-up regarding Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment claims.
+ Learns how to run Payroll to serve as back-up and/or has responsibility for specific departments.
+ Learns how to handle corrective action documentation for attendance.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Required Skills/Abilities:**
+ Proficient in MS Office Software - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher.
+ Manufacturing knowledge is helpful.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Possesses a working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
+ Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
+ Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
**Education and Experience:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources is preferred.
+ Minimum of one year HR experience.
+ HR Certification preferred.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
+ Occasionally will need to move about the two plants to meet with employees or hang up announcements.
