Human Resources Generalist (Freelance/Temporary)

We’re seeking an experienced human resources professional who is a detail oriented multi-tasker, self-motivated, and highly employee focused. Our Human Resources Generalist will drive the implementation, administration, training, tracking and communication of all human resources policies and programs including performance management, talent management, employee relations and HR-related compliance. This position will work closely with all levels and various functions of the organization.

This role is a full-time freelance/temporary role based in our Santa Monica, CA office. We anticipate the assignment to last until early 2025.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Perform day to day HR support by responding to employee inquiries and resolving issues in an efficient and timely manner. Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Manage the performance review process. Review, track and send out reminders for employee training. Manage annual open enrollment benefits administration and employee leaves of absence.   Assist managers with the recruitment process. Lead the new hire onboarding process including conducting new hire orientations and ensuring required paperwork is compliant and complete. Handle administration of COVID-19 cases. Update HRIS database records and process paperwork for new hires, terminations and other status changes. Complete annual AVR survey and Santa Monica Emission Plan. Maintain organizational charts using Microsoft Visio. Participate in the planning for employee events. Handle various research projects and/or special projects.

Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field  At least seven years of progressively responsible human resources experience Two to three years' experience in a Human Resources Generalist role required CA Employee Transportation Coordinator certification and/or Transportation Coordinator experience a plus General knowledge of federal, multi-state and local employment laws and regulations Demonstrated human resources knowledge, skills and judgement Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook Effective communication skills with strong use of the English language, writing fluency and accurate grammar usage.    High attention to detail Highly ethical, respectful and trustworthy  Have a love of learning, and a positive demeanor and approach to the work Previous experience in entertainment sports or broadcast media is a plus

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $30.00 to $35.00 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
