This position has the flexibility of a hybrid remote option with Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday as in office days. This can be discussed further during the interview process. + The salary range for this position is $45K – $58K . Final salary will be determined based on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Job Summary TTI is seeking a results-oriented HR Generalist to be an integral member of our People Operations team. This individual will be an agile multi-tasker interested in several Human Resources areas, including onboarding/offboarding, employee programs and procedures, and more. The individual in this position is required to handle Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA regulations and in accordance with A&M System policy and is further required to complete HIPAA training as a condition of employment, within a reasonable time frame after the individual's employment, and on an as-needed basis thereafter. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon availability of funding and satisfactory performance. Key Responsibilities Employment Processing & Employee Actions (40%) + Serve as the main contact for departments, employees, and supervisors for student worker and temp/casual employee type inquiries and assistance. + Conduct new employee orientations and assist with Workday processes. + Process new hires, pay rate changes, title changes, transfers, and terminations in Workday. + Ensure compliance with hiring policies. + Ensure compliance when hiring minor employees and participating in Work Study and other student employment programs. + Manage I-9 processing and verification, background checks, and visual compliance checks. + Monitor dual employment and overtime pay. + Assist with timesheet queries and run Workday reports. + Maintain accurate employee records and files for student worker and temp/casual employee types. + Oversee the termination process for all employee types inclusive of creating and closing the termination checklists. People Operations Support (50%) + Monitor the HR triage inbox and assign tickets when student workers are not available. + Manage alternate work location form processing by tracking AWLs, review for accuracy, approve for HR level, send notifications, answer FNS and FAC questions or requests, and run reports. + Process employment verifications and prepare employment letters. + Conduct nepotism form processing, review, and compliance check for new student worker and temp/casual hires employee type. + Conduct inventory and asset management for the TTI HR office. + Manage the Years of Service Program. + Manage the Retirement Recognition Program. + Serve as back-up for bi-weekly payroll. + Serve as TTI’s backup I-partner for the I-9 working group. + Answer the main HR line when student workers are not available. Other Duties (10%) + Assist with HR projects and other assigned tasks. Qualifications Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of experience. + 1 year of relevant experience Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: + Skilled at quick decision-making and problem solving. + Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment. + Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and remain composed under pressure, especially during peak hiring seasons and when handling urgent requests. + Skilled in oral and written communication skills. + Strong sense of internal and external customer service. + Ability to learn new technical applications and technologies. + Ability to independently plan, organize effectively, and manage multiple tasks and priorities. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Due to the nature of the responsibilities of this position, this position requires reliable and consistent attendance. + Ability to foster collaborative relationships with departments to enhance partnerships Preferred Qualifications: + Experience in a Human Resources office. + Strong understanding of the human resource management field or discipline. + Familiarity with Workday and other A&M system applications. + Ability to handle confidential information with discretion + Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Physical Requirements: + Ability to conduct orientations and verify I-9 documents in person, as this is an essential function of the job. + Ability to navigate the office environment, including sitting, standing, using stairs, opening doors, and using elevators. + Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and other individuals within the workplace. + Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery consistently.
