Human Resources – Compensation & Retirement Internship

 

We are looking for junior-status college student looking to gain experience in compensation and retirement benefits.  The ideal candidate will be able to work year-round for a total of 10 to 20 hours per week. 

 

The qualifications for this position are the following:

 

Pursing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Human Resources, or related field Strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently or as a team; self-motivated, and has strong organizational and time-management skills

 

The core responsibilities of this position are the following:

 

Retirement administration including updating contribution elections and communication and calculation of pension benefits to those eligible Assist in compliance testing for various benefits Moving all pension files to an electronic filing system Participate in salary benchmarking surveys Assist in analyzing market survey information to support System initiatives as it relates to recruiting, retention, and compensation Assist in the calculation and implementation of the annual performance increases Assists with other special projects as assigned
