Position Summary:
The OTG Summer Internship allows students to have an immersive, hands-on learning experience . The Intern will assist the department by working on (but not limited to) special projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
+ Learn and uphold the organization's values, philosophy, ethics, integrity, and code of conduct
+ Respond to correspondence and phone inquiries on a daily basis , ensuring timely and professional communication
+ Assist with various projects and research, as requested by the Department
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Attend Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings and provide support as needed
+ Draft and edit internal HR communications, such as emails and intranet content.
+ Provide administrative support to include the Human Resources Interface System (Dayforce) , Filing, and maintenance of general office supplies.
Qualifications:
+ Enrolled in a University degree or Community College diploma program in Human Resources Management, which requires a co-op placement
+ Excellent at time management and organizational skills.
+ Able to constantly re-prioritize work in a fast paced, service-oriented environment
+ Knowledge of HRIS (HR Information System) or HCM systems is a plus
+ Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
+ Ability to multi-task
+ Must be self-motivated, take the initiative and possess excellent interpersonal skills
+ Some local travel may be required , such as hiring events within the Greater Toronto Area
Hours: 37.5-hour work week, In-Office with the ability to work in Terminal
Pay rate: $20 per hour
