Join our team as a Human Resources Manager! Chestnut Health Systems is looking for a dynamic, personable, full-time Human Resources Manager to be a part of our dedicated team in Bloomington, IL. Over four decades, Chestnut has grown to almost 800 committed, compassionate employees providing substance use, mental health, and primary care treatment to patients in Illinois and Missouri. We provide fully integrated care for all our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. Responsibilities Be the go-to person for all things HR, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering exceptional internal service to employees and supervisors.Lead and support the HR team with a hands-on, thoughtful approach.Manage employee relations, help resolve issues, and ensure our workplace remains respectful and compliant.Manage unemployment compensation claims, appeals, and hearings.Oversee recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and much more, making sure every employee feels valued from day one.Responsible for data collection, analysis and submission of annual workforce analysis and other agency-related reporting requirements.Conduct internal personnel file audits to ensure compliance. Meet with auditors and assist with change and implementation of HR-related processes/procedures.Assist in the development of HR policies, salary administration, and performance evaluations—helping employees grow and thrive in their roles.Keep us compliant with regulations, conduct audits, and prepare for agency reviews, while also staying sharp with the latest HR trends and practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field with at least 6 years of HR experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.Talent Acquisition experience and PHR certification? That’s a plus!Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills are a must.A person who loves learning, staying up-to-date with HR trends, and continuously improving processes.
