Oversight of all human resources functions such as recruitment, orientation, benefits, training and administration.
Field Operations Responsibilities
Recruiting: Works directly with Operations to plan workforce for projects. Maintains a database of potentially qualified individuals. Recruits for specialized positions, assuring all certifications, licensing and experience requirements are met. Fields daily calls from personnel seeking employment. Performs telephone interviews, cold calls and general recruiting. Benefits: Organizes and implements customized benefits for Open Shop, Davis-Bacon, Government or any specialized contract or project requirements. Maintains, updates and reviews benefits for all field and office personnel on a regular basis. Consistently reviews current laws and regulations to assure Company compliance. Performs the yearly benefits renewal and open enrollment process for all employees. Payroll: Enters field employee time into payroll-specified timesheets. Tracks and maintains leave spreadsheet for field employee. Ensures that any specialized benefit is being allocated and implemented correctly. Proofs payroll processed by Alberici payroll department to confirm wages and benefits are correct. Submits Employee Reimbursement Agreements for approval; submits subsistence and vehicle allowances for payments. Training: Performs a yearly assessment of the skillsets of all field employees. Assesses training requirements for each position and works in conjunction with employees to make sure training plans are implemented and updated. Miscellaneous: Assures all corporate, personal contractor and engineering licenses are current and renewed annually. Assures all licensed personnel meet the continuing education requirements necessary for compliance to maintain licenses. Organizes and tracks yearly performance evaluations for all employees. Coordinates with outside safety consultant for any necessary training and certifications. Sets and attends monthly Executive Committee meetings and quarterly Leadership meetings. Performs miscellaneous accounting duties as needed and assigned. Maintains office supplies and supervises the office maintenance contracts, g., cleaning services and copier/printer. Plans, organizes and executes the annual holiday party and anniversary celebration; assists with other employee events. Maintain website and other social media sites. Prepare and distribute employee newsletter.General HR Responsibilities
The following duties will be executed in alignment with corporate policy, procedure, guidelines and/or protocols:
Oversees career fairs/college recruitment activities, hiring process, exit interviews, substance abuse prevention program, COBRA and FMLA. Prepares offer and confirmation letters; extends verbal offers as necessary. Assists management with creating, revising and interpreting policies and procedures. Maintains and follows retention schedule for confidential employee records, personnel files and DOT files for CDL licensed drivers. Performs employment verification for administrative and field employees. Informs management on compensation-related interests. Collects information and prepares reports for internal, external and government requirements. Processes department invoices manually and through the Workflow system. Assists with retirement/401K plan including qualified domestic relations orders, plan enrollments/changes, hardship withdrawals, in-service withdrawals, direct rollovers, and other miscellaneous plan administration. Coordinates recruiting, hiring and termination with management. Participates in unemployment claims; contesting/hearings. Works in conjunction with the President in setting standards and expectations for all employees.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, related field and/or equivalent and five to ten years of human resources/labor relations generalist experience is required. Master’s degree in Human Resources Management is a plus.
