Human Resources Manager

About Us:

Ohmstede Industrial Services provides field services supporting industrial projects during turnarounds, capital projects, emergency and unscheduled outages, and nest maintenance events. Additionally, Ohmstede Industrial Services is sourced for (off-site) pipe fabrication services through strategic shop locations on the Gulf Coast.

Human Resources Administration:

Provide administrative support in the preparation of offer letters, new hire processing, background checks and onboarding. Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning. Provides support and guidance to Operations, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; will be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations. Partner with HSE on activities and investigations that require HR support and Input. Manage the companies AAP filing, OFCCP reporting, and any other regulatory reporting required. Maintain the LMS to ensure accurate reporting and training requirements are being met. In partnership with payroll and benefits, oversee the OIS Leave process and Administration including FMLA, Unpaid Leave, STD and LTD Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintain record of personnel-related data to ensure all employment requirements are met. Provide administrative assistance by responding to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests. Maintain employee files to ensure accuracy and compliance. Maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Support Governmental Reporting and compliance. Provide regular and ad hoc HR Reporting.

Benefits Administration:

 Oversee Open Enrollment on a yearly basis. Track employee hours for benefits eligibility to ensure compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Provide administrative support with health and welfare plans to include enrollments, changes, and terminations. Prepare and disseminate to employee communications regarding benefits. Work alongside Payroll regarding overseeing benefits deductions and additions to the Company’s benefits plans.

 Affirmative Action:

Assist with job postings as necessary. Monitors and tracks applicant tracking. Runs reports and compiles and analyzes data as needed for the AAP. Prepares statistical reports on affirmative action progress, and prepares reports required by governmental agencies.

Qualifications:

BA/BS in a business-related field such as Human Resources, Finance, Marketing or Business Administration preferred or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience with at least two years of benefits experience. The ideal candidate will have a general/broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. Candidate should be familiar with HR software and tools.

Excellent communication skills, inclusive of written and verbal skills. Must be comfortable answering questions from employees at all levels of the organization. Proven interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills. Demonstrated proficiency with HR principles, policies and practices as well as applicable HR legislation and regulations. Keen adeptness with spreadsheet, database, presentation and word-processing software applications. Strong analytical and quantitative skills.  Understanding and knowledge of the day-to-day operations of the benefits and compensation function and how benefits and compensation programs and information integrate with other areas of HR and the organization. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple technologies including all MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Word and Access. Excellent time management and work ethic, and strong sense of urgency. Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Proactive and self-directed. Demonstrated experience in customer service and ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
