Job Summary

The HR Manager will deliver comprehensive HR support at the regional level with a commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and values-driven workplace. This role serves as a key resource for employees and management, ensuring HR policies and practices are consistently applied to uphold the organization’s goals and core values of integrity, compliance, and positive culture. The HR Manager will work closely with HR Directors, business management teams, and HR colleagues to promote operational efficiency and support a collaborative environment built on respect and teamwork.

 

Essential Functions

Function as an HR Business Partner to design and implement HR Strategy for the Region. Act as a trusted HR resource for employees, addressing inquiries on policies, procedures, and employment concerns with transparency and empathy. Mediate and resolve employee conflicts, conducting fair investigations that contribute to a respectful and positive work culture. Lead Onboarding to welcome new hires and set clear expectations for safety, integrity, and teamwork. Promptly submit change requests such as promotions, transfers, wage increases, separation, etc. Educate employees on available benefits and facilitate the enrollment process. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in human resources to uphold high standards of compliance and safety. Champion employee engagement initiatives that contribute to a positive and supportive company culture. Act as a liaison between employees and management, fostering open communication and clarity on company policies and standards. Provide bilingual English/Spanish translation assistance. Partner with Learning & Development teams to implement training programs that align with business needs and safety requirements.

Qualifications

5+ years of HR experience in a Generalist, Manager, or similar role. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience preferred). Experience in a construction environment is beneficial.

Required Skills & Experience

In-depth understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure organizational compliance. Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest levels of confidentiality, ethics, and trust. Effective interpersonal skills emphasizing empathy, active listening, rapport-building, and constructive feedback. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills to provide timely and effective support. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Other HRIS and ATS system knowledge, such as SAP and Arcoro, is beneficial.

Work Requirements

Must be capable, licensed, and approved to drive to work sites, offices, and other locations as required to perform job duties. Willingness to travel within the DFW region up to 25% of the time and work flexible hours as needed. Comfortable speaking to large groups. Commitment to safety procedures and OSHA regulations, including adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check. Ability to lift or carry up to 15 lbs. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills are required to operate office equipment. Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces throughout the construction site. Ability to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods as needed to conduct meetings, complete HR administrative tasks, and perform site visits within designated areas. Occasional stooping, kneeling, and reaching may be necessary when organizing materials or assisting in setting up HR events and training sessions.
