Human Resources Manager
Job Title: Human Resources ManagerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive HR policies and strategies that foster a positive, compliant, and engaged workplace. This role includes overseeing recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compliance, employee relations, and partnering with Finance on payroll and benefits administration. Responsibilities + HR Policy Development: Create, implement, and regularly update HR policies and procedures in line with company goals and legal requirements. + Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment efforts, from job postings to candidate selection, for all levels of the organization. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective hiring strategies. + Employee Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a smooth integration of new employees into the company culture and their roles. + Performance Management: Implement and manage performance review systems to ensure employee goals align with business objectives. Provide training and guidance to managers on performance evaluation. + Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to staff and management, addressing workplace issues, promoting positive employee relations, and resolving conflicts. + Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs to enhance skills and advance careers within the organization. + Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Keep policies updated with changes in labor laws and advise management on necessary adjustments. + Payroll and Benefits Administration: Support payroll and benefits administration, providing guidance to employees and ensuring accurate records. + HR Metrics & Reporting: Track HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, time-to-hire) and provide regular reports to leadership to drive HR strategies and measure outcomes. + Health & Safety: Work with the EHS team to support workplace safety programs and compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety standards. + Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve HR processes to enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction. Essential Skills + Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR management role. + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. + Strong understanding of HR practices, CA employment laws, and recruitment best practices. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in the manufacturing or personal care industry is preferred but not required. + HR certification (PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP) is a plus. Work Environment Primarily office-based in the production area and client-facing meetings. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 1st shift. Dress code requires close-toed shoes and no jewelry.
