Human Resources Manager

Reporting to HR Leadership, the Human Resources Manager will play a key role in driving HR solutions and identify customer needs.

Daily management of the plant HR department including employee and management needs. Partner effectively with employees, managers and corporate contacts to handle general HR demands. Includes monthly union leadership meetings for continued cooperation. Strategically manage employee development and improvement plans including goal development, coaching, training, rewards, and recognition. Handle recruitment/advertising, interviews, selection, background screens, and pre-employment physicals to meet plant staffing needs. Communicate with plant management to understand current needs/job openings Handle orientation and paperwork processing for new employees Act as company spokesperson at community events/job fairs as needed Conducting disciplinary investigations with Plant Management for resolution and reporting back to HR Leadership. Create, improve, and administer human resource policies and procedures. Perform exit interviews to help improve employee relations. Handle plant projects as required by HR Leadership. \n 5-10+ years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred or a combination of relevant experience and education is a plus. Bilingual in Spanish and English. Excellent critical thinking and decision making skills. Ability to listen well, comprehend and analyze situations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop effective working relationships within all areas of the company Experience with union/labor relations, hourly recruiting, employee relations and engagement, benefits administration, payroll, policy communication and administration, HR compliance, etc. Past experience in safety management and handling workers compensation a plus.
