Overview Serve as an advisor and support to management in the strategic planning process and development of human resource strategies that support the organization’s needs. Provides support to multiple sites. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing HR strategies to provide support and counsel to the various locations, while supporting National HR initiatives and the company’s Mission and Core Values. The HR Manager performs activities related to performance management, compensation administration, leadership development, employee engagement and the employee experience, among others. Individuals in this position work closely with the local management teams to foster teamwork and support of HR related processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Support a specific operational client group of leaders and employees in a field HR role. Analyze and understand the organizational medium and long-term business plans; develop strategic and tactical HR direction in support of operational plans for the local operations client group. Provide day to day performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions, CBA language interpretation, etc.). Conduct workplace investigations. Consult s with management on workforce planning strategies. Partner with HR centers of expertise (COE) groups and leaders to develop workforce plans. Communicate with management regarding employee relations’ issues to consistently improve employee morale and productivity while being supportive of company policies. In conjunction with the Leadership Team, develops and executes proactive strategies that enhance the employee experience, lower turnover, meet financial needs of the Company, and provide a consistent strategy. Analyze employee engagement data (annual survey; exit and onboarding surveys); Partner with operational leadership to develop employee engagement action plans to increase employee engagement and enhance company culture. Change management - support leaders and managers to successfully lead teams through both planned and unexpected changes. Understand legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Consult legal counsel as needed. Assist employees and leaders in reporting and advocating leaves of absences with third party vendor. In partnership with our Labor Relations team, responsible for aspects of labor relations that may include communication, investigations, and grievances; participating in arbitrations, litigations, negotiations, as needed. May conduct leadership training in performance coaching, conflict resolution, recruitment and selection, harassment prevention, etc. Provide quality control and quality assurance of all employee changes and approvals when using the company’s employee database. Researches, analyzes data and prepares reports. Collaborate on policies and procedures to ensure updated and effective. Conducts local internal system and procedural audits. Recommend and may execute on process improvements. Occasional travel required. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Experience: A minimum of four (4) years Human Resource experience Two years of experience developing and implementing successful HR strategies. Experience providing HR leadership role for multiple sites and/or multiple states desirable. Working knowledge of human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws, leaves of absence, training and development Two years of labor relations experience including resolution of complex employee relations issues, grievance handling, etc. is desirable Education: HS Diploma or GED. BA, HR Management, Business Administration, or related field, preferred. Skills: Strong relationship management skills Strategic HR consulting skills Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications Experience using HRIS such as Workday a plus Credentials/Licenses: Human Resources certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR desirable The application window for this position is anticipated to close on January 24, 2025.
