Position Summary:
Medeco is seeking a strategic, hands-on Human Resources Manager to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical in fostering a positive employee culture, and ensuring compliance with all HR policies and regulations. The HR Manager will work closely with plant leadership and employees to improve work relationships, increase productivity, and implement best HR practices. Additionally, this role will oversee payroll and employee leave operations through direct supervision of an HR Generalist.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Employee Relations and Engagement
2. Compliance and Reporting
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations and company policies. Maintain all EEO reporting requirements as a U.S. government contractor. Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies as needed. Track and analyze HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and engagement scores. Manage and administer leave programs (FMLA, Leave of Absence, etc) Prepare reports for management, highlighting key trends and recommendations.
3. Recruiting and Onboarding
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring of qualified candidates both direct and via temporary staffing agencies. Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a smooth and effective transition for new hires. Represent and promote Medeco as an employer of choice at community events. Manage apprenticeship, internship, and other special employee development programs.
4. Compensation and Benefits
Administer employee benefits programs and ensure accurate payroll processing through oversight of the HR Generalist. Conduct compensation analysis to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
5. Training and Development
Partner with leadership to assess training needs and coordinate training sessions to support employee development and compliance. Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps and career development opportunities. Work closely with leadership to support Safety and Security programs.
