OVERVIEW AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and leading the HR team. The HR Manager will act as a strategic partner to the executive team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting corporate values.
Manage and/or own employee grievances, employee relations issues, or investigations while maintaining an objective view of the situation while facilitating the best resolution or outcomeProvide coaching and support to managers and executives during the employee life cycleFoster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting employee engagement initiativesManage the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talentDevelop and implement effective recruitment strategies to address hiring needs by collaborating with managers and executivesConduct market research to ensure competitive compensationManage personnel changes including but not limited to new hire onboarding, terminations, compensation adjustments, and employment status changes throughout the employee life cycle in close coordination with the payroll departmentDemonstrates strong self-awareness and effectively collaborates with all levels within and outside of the organization to support company goals and initiativesManage correspondence and reply in a timely manner, including legal notices and government filingsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations Manage or assist with the management of claims related to FMLA, ADA Accommodations, and worker’s compensationDevelop and deliver training related to HR topics for supervisors, managers, and executivesCreate presentations, documents, information packets and other materials as neededManage and deliver company-wide communications using e-mail and other electronic systems, ensuring accurate information concerning policies, documents, and announcementsLead and develop the HR team to ensure high performance Provide guidance and support to HR staff on various HR functionsFoster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the HR teamOther duties as assignedALL Acumen employees will be vigilant to support the positive compliant cybersecurity company posture by familiarizing themselves with all policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines and act.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years in full HR management (Recruiting, Employee Relations, Coaching, etc.) 3+ years in a HR leadership roleBachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or related field of studyCertification in HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) strongly preferredStrong knowledge of employment laws and regulationsExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, coaching and conflict resolution skillsProven ability to develop and implement HR strategies and initiativesProficiency with full MS Office SuiteProficiency in HRIS and other HR-related softwareStrong organizational and multitasking abilities Able to work with minimal supervision Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and proceduresAbility to function well in a high-paced and stressful environment
