The Director, Talent Acquisition Lead, Japan is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process for all roles in Japan up to and including Director. This includes developing the capabilities of the recruitment team and running key relationships within the business leaders as well as the broader HR community.
In addition, you will be a key member of the Asia TA Leadership team, engaging in the development and strategic projects for the function in Asia.
Individual Responsibilities:Responsible for the talent acquisition strategies for our insurance and Wealth & Asset Management at staffing level in Japan.Drive the full spectrum of recruiting and selection activities. Deliver high-quality services that support a strong candidate and hiring manager experience.Lead and inspire the Japan Talent Acquisition team to achieve recruitment goals, drive performance and foster an inclusive cultureManage high-level requisitions and critical placements, demonstrating expertise in assessing candidates' qualifications and cultural fit.Collaborate with hiring managers and human resources partners to understand talent needs and craft effective recruitment plansCreate and implement a robust recruitment strategy aligned with Manulife's objectives, ensuring a diverse and qualified candidate pool.Support the design and implementation of recruitment strategies, initiatives and projects for TA.Work with the Employer Branding team to promote the company's culture, values, improving our employer brand.Collaborate with TA Excellence. Use data insights and feedback to generate a high-quality recruitment and onboarding experience.Job Requirements:Post-secondary degree+10 years of search experience, including no less than 2 years of in-house recruitment experience and 3 years of management experienceSuccessful track record of leading recruitment teamProven understanding of the financial services industry (preferably in insurance and/or asset management)Ability to work as part of a team, willingness to get involved and to work across fieldsUnderstand implicitly how to work with different people and various working stylesHandle and prioritize multiple project and outputClear communication to raise issues, achieve consensus and resolve any obstacles to executionHas strong intellectual curiosity, resilient and conscientious !A great teammate, able to demonstrate collaboration with peers.Experience working in an international corporate environment, able to work outside of standard work hourUpbeat, forward thinking and proactive!About Manulife and John Hancock
