Position
Summary
The
Human Resources Manager manages the day-to-day human resources
activities in an Aerospace manufacturing environment. This position
reports directly to the General Manager of GMT with a strong dotted line to the
VP of Human Resources. The HR Manager is a key member of the plant
leadership team and is a strong business partner, leading talent management, employee
engagement and employee relations. The HR Manager will ensure
that programs, policies and procedures support the overall business objectives
in the areas of staffing, talent management, training and development, employee
relations and engagement, compensation and benefits as well as HR
administration. This role will support around 100 employees.
Essential
Functions & Key Responsibilities
· Partner effectively with
the management team to provide and develop the human resources capabilities
necessary to achieve plant operations targets
· Provide HR expertise to
management team regarding salary/ hourly recruiting and staffing, employee
relations, talent management, policy interpretation, HR compliance, training,
turnover, complaint investigation and problem solving, etc.
· Works with department
heads to identify organizational issues that impact the attainment of business
objectives
· Assist department heads in
addressing employee performance issues and provide support and coaching as
required
· Provide consultative
guidance and coaching on human resources related matters, ensuring alignment
with corporate policies, goals and objectives
· Organize and conduct
orientation training to facilitate the proper onboarding of new hires
· Manage and communicate
Open Enrollment and Benefits Administration process
Implement organizational development, workforce or
succession planning, training or Performance Management as developed by
corporate.
