Job Title: Workforce Planner
Job Description
The People (HR) Team is looking for an experienced Workforce Planner to support a large global function. This role drives headcount management, including open positions and associated expenses, and analytics. The goal is to enable the organization to be nimble and execute on its priorities through effective resource management while ensuring appropriate governance. This role involves close interaction with key business leaders, both Functional and Regional leadership, and partnering with cross-functional teams such as Finance, People Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition. The ideal candidate will have the skills to influence at an executive level and the ability to articulate end-to-end workforce plans while navigating continuous changes.
Responsibilities
+ Create the vision for and lead the development of a systematic and disciplined workforce planning and prioritization process.
+ Strategize, plan, and execute initiatives related to global headcount growth.
+ Partner with Functional Leadership to develop and manage the global workforce plan (FTEs + contingent roles) based on business and resource needs.
+ Lead regular strategic plan reviews and reporting conversations with executive workforce plan owners.
+ Identify and execute process improvements to streamline and simplify position management.
+ Drive resolution and mitigation of current and anticipated workforce challenges.
+ Analyze workforce plans in partnership with the people analytics team, Finance, and People Business Partners.
+ Lead and engage Business Leaders, Finance, and Talent Acquisition on position prioritization before requisition creation.
+ Drive processes for business to make plan adjustments.
+ Run day-to-day position management processes.
+ Ensure regional/functional interlock on workforce plan approvals in a matrixed environment.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in human resources or workforce planning.
+ Proficient user of MS Excel with 5+ years of advanced usage.
+ Strong experience in workforce planning with a record of delivering excellent results in a complex, global organization.
+ Experience in HR Program/Project Management.
+ Experience in HR Data Systems, HRIS, ATS, etc.
+ Experience using data to uncover insights that drive action and communicating analyses to technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Experience in running governance structures to facilitate executive decision making.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Advanced user of Workday HRIS.
+ Experience in the payments industry (banking, credit union, fintech).
+ Advanced degree preferred (Master's with 4+ years; PhD with 3+ years).
+ Experience collaborating with position management.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Austin. Contractors are treated with the same respect as full-time employees, creating a strong culture and atmosphere of cohesiveness and professionalism. The team is dynamic and welcoming. The role is contract-based with a possibility of extension, but unlikely to lead to a full-time opportunity. The office is located in North Austin off of 183, with two large corporate buildings. Employees are expected to work in the office 2-3 days per week, with specific days for payroll processing and team meetings.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $45.00/hr.
