Position Overview
The overall responsibility of the Recruiter is sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing, recommending placement and extending offer by using creative internal and external sourcing methods. The Recruiter works externally to promote the FREE network as an employer of choice and partners internally with the hiring programs/departments to seek out applicants with the right combination of experience, education, skills and abilities to fill a particular position.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions
Responsible for the full-cycle recruiting processUses traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidatesSources and posts jobs on recruitment platforms and identifies new resources as neededScreens resumes and interviews candidates. Recommends qualified candidates for consideration Manages candidate activity using the applicant tracking system (ATS)Processes Initial Employment Authorization, prepares offer letters and extends employment offers. Communicates acceptance/rejection of offer to hiring managerDevelops and maintains productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of staffing goalsResponsible for the transition of new hires from the ATS to the HRISAssists with New Hire OrientationTracks and keeps records of recruitment activity, provides weekly reports to supervisorDuties and Responsibilities
Always communicate in a respectful manner with all people including the people we support, supervisors, other valued team members, and members of the communityVisits programs and department locations, meets with managers to get an understanding of the setting, individuals served and the general needs of the program/departmentDevelops and maintains relationships with potential sources of qualified candidatesWorks with college, high school and vocational staff to promote interest among students. Participates in career-related events such as panel discussions, mock interviews and othersAssist with developing advertising and marketing programs to ensure high visibility with potential candidates Coordinate, support, attend and participate in all required events/ meetings/ reviews/ committees, including ones outside of standard working hoursTrain Hiring Managers on recruiting, hiring process and use of the ATSAssist HR Support team with gathering request documents for auditing purposesCovers onboarding process when needed Maintain the confidentiality of any information relating to individuals and employees of the organizationOther duties as assigned Qualifications
Education, Work Experience, and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree requiredA minimum of two years’ of experience in recruiting, human resources, or related fieldProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ATS and other job-related technologyAbility and willingness to travel to worksites and recruiting events requiredWilling to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projectsComfortable working in a fast paced environmentAvailability to work occasional evenings and weekends to attend recruitment eventsStrong organizational skills and detail orientation, with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to manage multiple competing time-sensitive prioritiesCustomer-service orientation with strong desire to meet/exceed hiring managers’ needsProven ability to work in an environment where flexibility, keeping others informed and anticipating needs is essentialInterviewing skills and knowledge of recruiting and hiring practices preferredBasic understanding of federal and state laws and regulations related to employment preferredPhysical Demands / Work Environment
