Great American Insurance is seeking a Recruiting Intern to join our Human Resources team. We are looking for a motivated individual eager to learn about HR and recruiting in a collaborative environment. This hybrid internship will be based in our downtown Cincinnati office. The position will require full-time hours starting in Summer 2025, with the possibility of part-time work during the school year.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Collaborate with a team of 7 recruiters to support various recruiting functions.
Schedule interviews and coordinate with candidates and hiring managers.
May conduct initial phone screens to evaluate candidate qualifications and fit.
Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
Assist in planning and organizing recruiting events, including career fairs, intern programs, and in-house interview days.
Create and maintain reports on recruiting metrics and candidate statuses.
Help with organizing new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
Support the Corporate HR team with various administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Eager to learn about Human Resources and recruiting.
Available to work full time (up to 40 hours) during the summer and part time (12-20 hours) throughout the school year.
Currently enrolled in school at a college or university.
Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Demonstrates strong leadership abilities.
