The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for partnering with the HR site leadership to support staff activities related to recruitment, FMLA, employee engagement, answering employee benefit questions, onboarding, maintaining and tracking FMLA, performance management and any other employee-orientated practice or program.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain non-exempt recruitment activities Identify/source, manage and monitor the effectiveness of recruiting sources for potential employees. This may include attendance at trade shows, university recruiting and managing relationships with employee search firms Maintain internal systems for applicant tracking Develop promotional literature and advertisements to assist with recruiting activities Assist with prescreening and interviewing applicants and coordinate the scheduling of interviews Perform reference verifications, applicant rejections and act as an ongoing liaison with pending new hires Track and monitor FMLA program for the site Assist employees with basic benefit questions Assist HR site leadership with employee engagement activities Participate in self-development activities and training of others especially in areas of recruitment and human resource practices Recommend and implement methods to increase the quality of products and/or service Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practicesEducation and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Pay Range: $59,000.00-$73,500.00/year
Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
