Job Description
This position:
Assists in the completion of payroll for approximately 500 employees to ensure all employees are paid correctly according to IMCC policies, collective bargaining agreements, DAS-HRE policies, State Auditors and Fair Labor Standards.
Assists department with timekeeping and procedures so that all policies are enforced consistently.
Reviews policies and offers input to IMCC timekeeping procedures and KRONOS timekeeping procedures.
Acts as a resource person to staff regarding correct timekeeping procedures. Approve enforced sick leave so it is consistent with policy.
Also:
Verifies accuracy of payroll and make changes as necessary.
Prepares miscellaneous interview-related materials for supervisor as requested.
Requests information on background and work history as needed.
Explains position descriptions and benefits available to potential employees.
This position is:
Responsible for running all mandated background checks prior to offering employment (NCIC, Dependent Adult Abuse Registry, visiting lists, etc.).
Responsible for contacting all candidates when selection(s) have been made.
Extensive knowledge of Workday and KRONOS timekeeping systems is preferred.
Will be able to serve on selection or interview teams.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
+ Two years of full-time work experience performing administrative support work.
+ A total of two years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where 30 semester hours of accredited post-high school course work equals one year of full-time experience.
+ Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to one year of full-time administrative support work in a human resources-related program area.
