Human Rights Manager Value Chain (f/m/d)

Therefore, to strengthen and further develop our human rights due diligence activities we are seeking to recruit a Human Rights Manager Value Chain (f/m/d).

In this position you will be empowered to foster the enforcement of human rights, social and environmental due diligence requirements for the global activities in Heidelberg Materials value chain. Entering your position, you will have an exciting project lead role in an international cross-functional setting and drive compliance with new legal obligations. The key to your success will be the coordination between various Group functions and the close collaboration with Heidelberg Materials subsidiaries worldwide.

You will be part of the Group Compliance & Data Protection team which drives and further develops globally the areas of compliance, human rights and data protection. You will report directly to position Head of Compliance & Data Protection and collaborate closely with the Human Rights Managers Own Operations and Supply Chain. The position is located in Heidelberg, Germany.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

Coordination on Group level for meeting Heidelberg Materials overall human rights, social and environmental due diligence requirements in the global value chain

Managing human rights, social and environmental due diligence activities in the German value chain

Project Lead function for the global implementation of the EU Directive on Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence (CSDDD):

Support the relevant Group functions (e.g. Group Procurement, ESG, Health & Safety, etc.) to identify the impact of CSDDD requirements

Change management and uplifting of existing human rights global due diligence mechanisms and processes to CSDDD compliance

Introduction of a harmonized implementation approach for all European as well as international subsidiaries of Heidelberg Materials

Ensure meaningful external stakeholder engagement and participation in industry initiatives

Create human rights awareness, training and communication

YOUR PROFILE

University degree in e.g., business administration, law, economics, social sciences, etc.

Excellent project management skills and 5 years of experience in a cross-functional role, preferably in an international group setup

Proven change management skills and interdisciplinary work ability

Experience in human rights and/or compliance management

Team orientation, intercultural awareness and diplomatic skills

Outstanding personal integrity and trustworthiness

Excellent English language skills, German is an advantage
