ROLE PURPOSE
The Humanitarian and Emergency Program Manager will lead and oversee the implementation of rapid emergency and humanitarian response projects, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of protection services, basic assistance, non-food items (NFIs), and cash interventions. This role involves coordinating multiple project components, overseeing field operations, managing partnerships, and ensuring alignment with donor requirements and organizational standards. The Humanitarian and Emergency Program Manager will also be responsible for adapting project strategies to meet evolving needs and contextual changes while ensuring compliance with international humanitarian principles.Under the direct supervision of the Director of Programs, the Humanitarian and Emergency Program Manager is responsible for preparing and overseeing the implementation of all project components, including but not limited to protection services, basic assistance, NFIs, and cash interventions. The Manager will work closely with local partners and field teams to ensure effective coordination and quality programming. This role requires strong reporting and financial management skills, including budget re-phasing and re-alignment. The Manager will monitor project spending in a fast-paced emergency environment, ensuring rigorous oversight of monthly financial reports and maintaining close coordination with Plan’s and partners’ finance and grants teams. Additionally, the Manager will collaborate with internal support functions, such as Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), Operations and Security, Finance, and Grants, to ensure all project activities align with donor requirements and organizational standards.
