Responsible for general accounting and policy application & process administration for all cycles including inventory, revenue recognition, receivables/payables, intercompany, etc.. Understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, SOP and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive financial process/accounting services.Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor, with proven interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.Impacts projects, processes and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy, but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgment, but may require more senior levels of guidance.Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Required Qualifications

For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Finance & Accounting Operations. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

Role Summary/Purpose:                                                        

The Hungary, Czech & Slovakia Operations Controller will be responsible for controllership activities in respect of GE HealthCare's (GEHC) operations in Hungary, Czechia & Slovakia. He/she will ensure timely and accurate US GAAP closing and reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis and provide technical controllership guidance to both finance, tax and operations leaders.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness PartneringBuild strong relationships with the Finance and Operational teams across the Eastern Europe LCT; support business and finance priorities in the LCT; and support operations leaders/teams and R&D teams to understand financial/accounting implications of transactions and other matters by providing expertise and technical accounting guidanceProactively identify potential risks and opportunities and communicate these timely and effectively to key stakeholdersSupport business changes and transformations including acquisitions / disposalsOversee inventory and fixed asset counting.Connected ControllershipWork closely with the accounting Centre of Excellence (COE) teams for US GAAP and local GAAP to ensure the appropriate level of support is provided by the COE teams, as well as being a point of contact for issue resolution and support, as appropriatePartner with GEHC Tax leader to manage the relationship with tax advisors to drive efficient and effective tax processes (CIT/VAT/WHT tax returns preparation, tax audit support) and ensure readiness for tax audits.   Rigorous Control EnvironmentEnsure US, GEHC and local GAAP finance records are maintained in timely, accurate and complete fashionBe responsible for the integrity of the Hungary, Czechia & Slovakia US GAAP Balance Sheets and underlying transactions. Monitor and review the financial ledgers of each legal entity to ensure compliance with US GAAP, local laws/GAPs, tax codes, government regulations and filing requirements as well as to identify and rectify any process defects in COE-led processes. Present Key Balance Sheet drivers to management on a quarterly basisDrive consistency into business processes and systems to ensure that, as far as is appropriate, processes are consistent across the GEHC businesses and a One GEHC approach can be takenMonitor compliance with Sarbanes Oxley 404 requirements as applicable and drive control implementation and improvement where required. Review problematic account recs and instruct the teams to take actionsPartner with GEHC Internal Audit and local Finance Managers as appropriate to review control environments. Drive closure of open audit issues and proactively work to prevent future issues / manage risk. Lead resulting corrective action process implementation and follow up throughout the organization responding to and closing open audit issues quickly.SimplificationSupport simplification and integration projects, in conjunction with Finance, IT and COE teams, to reduce complexity and enable local teams to focus on value added analytical/strategic tasks.

Qualifications:Qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA or Masters in Accounting, Finance, or other business related-field, with 5-8 years progressive accounting or finance experience.
