You can live locally and go home every day or stay in our Village for your roster and DIDO. We’re located approximately an hour from the coast and Perth. Working 7 days on 7 days off roster, this role will provide a great work / life balance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Electrical team to ensure maintenance is completed safely and in compliance with established procedures and systems.Complete Factory Acceptance Testing and Technical Scope Compliance of electrical equipment prior to its arrival on site.Coaching, and mentoring support to maintenance personnel.Act as the Electrical Champion for HME equipment, focusing on Live Work Elimination.Ensure shovel electrical statutory requirements are met, recorded, and changes are implemented to maintain compliance.Diagnose and support the rectification of unscheduled maintenance faults to minimize operational impact.Support the repair and refurbishment of components, liaising with offsite repairers when necessary.Develop technical scopes of work for component rebuilds.Conduct defect elimination inspections and rectify identified faults, with a focus on improving MTBF.Assist in managing component inventory.Raise defect notifications with detailed comments, drawings, or photographs as required.Provide support for trailing cable relocations, repairs, and testing in the absence of crew HV electricians, including night shift coverage as required.Support ongoing development and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities to maximize the capabilities of the onboard IBA system, including the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).Support maintenance plan improvements by providing data and recommendations to the Operational Support Network.Implement identified improvement opportunities on new and existing equipment, including the installation of iBA.Assist with integrating machine data into the PI system for machine monitoring and reporting support.

 

You will be a High Voltage Electrician, with Australian Trade Recognition, and extensive experience working in the mining sector heavy equipment.

Maintenance of Caterpillar 7495 Electric Rope ShovelsRepair and refurbishment of AC Electrical Equipment ComponentsProficiency in CAT SI and SAPHigh level of computer literacyReliability and maintenance strategiesPlanning and defect eliminationContinuous improvement processesWork Health and Safety Regulations 2022Ability to influence, encourage, and support teamsCapacity to multitask efficiently in a dynamic work environmentProven ability to work with minimal supervisionStrong communication skills to engage with personnel at all levelsFocused approach to achieving short-term objectives in a safe and efficient mannerHigh degree of personal commitment to Safety, Environmental, and Social Responsibility practices
