HV Systems Engineer, DCDC and other HV Devices

The High Voltage Systems Engineer will be responsible for complete end to end integration of the high voltage components and participate in the system level design activities for the subsystems. You will be the point of contact for anything high voltage related on this platform and lead the bring up activities in each of the vehicle builds. You will Conceptualize, Design, Engineer, Develop and support the launch of next-generation vehicle platforms for electric vehicles.  

B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering  Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, especially for electric vehicles Knowledge of regulatory requirements for battery safety in global markets. Strong written and verbal communication skills  An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team  A systems approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement 3+ years of academic or industry experience in electrified vehicles, electrified powertrain, high voltage battery design, electric vehicle charging systems

 

Preferred qualifications

Experience in leading product development from concept to deployment A systems approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement  Knowledge of regulatory requirements for electric vehicle charging in global markets. Experiencing designing and evaluating safety of High Voltage systems  Experience with high voltage electronics such as on-board charger or DC-DC converter Experience with battery management systems

Lead the integration efforts for various high voltage components such as the battery, drive units and high voltage cabling. Participate in functional safety and failure avoidance analysis of complex electrical and software vehicle subsystems (HARA, FMEAs, etc.).  Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to establish architecture content and maintain hardware block diagrams with all types of interactions captured and defined. Interface with the cross-functional teams to identify user stories and own the journey of the user stories from concept to production. Develop and own the high voltage related requirements and work with the hardware, software, architecture, safety and other cross-functional teams to verify requirements. Lead the high voltage bring up activities on all the vehicle builds and become the point person for the program. Lead the development of test cases and verification of system level functions on multiple mediums (benches, labcars, and vehicles). Lead the cross-functional development efforts and manage issue escalation and resolution.
