Position Overview
Provide customer service to exhibitors, incoming clients, and hotel staff. Support overall growth of revenue at assigned hotel(s). Process incoming requests and generate orders for electrical requirements for assigned hotel and for outside production companies operating at Encore locations. Partner with sales and operation team. Assist the power distribution supervisors with set and strike time schedules. This position reports to the Power Distribution Supervisor.
Key Job Responsibilities
Customer Support & Sales
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external clients.
• Take incoming calls for exhibits and process orders and payment information. Call/e-mail exhibitors and solicit their business for upcoming events.
• Use consultative sales approach to uncover all customer needs and provide solutions.
Order Entry
• Receive, process online and fax orders.
• Input client and equipment information into Navigator, process payment information then prints and adhere to Encore payment card industry payment processing policy.
Administrative Support
• Create “New Job” information in Navigator, process exhibit order forms as assigned, and create file for record.
Account Set Up and Maintenance
• Prepare documentation and put together a file for each event. Create all trade show books (binders) for all upcoming and current shows for assigned hotel(s).
• Maintain electrical permits for exhibits and production jobs as they are received for any internal and external shows.
• Establish and uphold relationships with local authority having jurisdiction.
• Work with Account Executive/ Project Managers to ensure that they have all necessary information and orders for the show.
Accounts Receivable
• Audit all exhibitors and vendors to ensure they have paid their invoices in full, contact if necessary.
• Provide confirmation to exhibitors after their order has been processed.
Job Qualifications
• Associates degree or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of experience in a related field
• Clear understanding of electrical terminology
• Basic understanding of OSHA, NES Codes, FPAF70E
• Ability to read diagrams (CADs)
• Experience in direct sales

Work Environment
Hotel
Work is performed in a hotel/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members will use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple hotel locations. Working times will include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based on an individual hotel or a representation of hotels in that city or area.
