Our client is seeking a highly skilled HVAC CAD Operator to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and modifying detailed HVAC system designs and layouts using computer-aided design (CAD) software. The ideal candidate will have experience working with HVAC systems, be proficient in CAD software, and have a keen eye for accuracy and detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Drafting:

Create detailed HVAC system drawings, including ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts. Ensure designs comply with project specifications, codes, and regulations.

Collaboration:

Work closely with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and modify designs as needed. Review and incorporate feedback from clients and other stakeholders into design revisions.

Quality Control:

Perform detailed checks of CAD drawings for accuracy, completeness, and conformity to standards. Coordinate with field technicians to ensure designs are feasible for installation.

System Coordination:

Assist in coordinating HVAC systems with other building systems (electrical, plumbing, structural). Ensure that HVAC systems integrate smoothly into the overall building design.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain up-to-date records of drawings and revisions. Prepare and submit design documents and progress reports to management. Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or certification in CAD drafting, HVAC technology, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

2+ years of experience working as a CAD operator, specifically with HVAC systems. Experience using CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs.

Skills:

Proficiency in CAD software for HVAC system design. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and installation practices. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
