MAU is hiring an HVAC Engineer for our client in Greenville, SC. As an HVAC Engineer, you will supervise and guide a team of engineers and designers, providing technical solutions, coordinating across disciplines, managing project scope, schedule, and cost, and supporting procurement and construction activities to ensure project success.
Benefits Package 401k matching Life insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Short term disability Long term disability Paid time off Shift Information Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Required Education and Experience Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least ten (10) years of related experience Strong knowledge of applicable federal (including Department of Energy orders), state, and local codes and standards General Requirements Excellent communication skills with diverse audiences, including project management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors In-depth technical knowledge required to perform the role effectively Advanced understanding of discipline-specific codes and standards Ability to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, statutes, and guidelines Attention to detail with a focus on time efficiency and meeting deadlines Proficient in using word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation tools Extensive experience providing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services on large industrial projects Expertise in executing large EPC projects using engineering analysis, 3D modeling, and 2D CAD automation tools in a multi-disciplinary environment Preferred Requirements Professional Engineer (PE) license Experience designing systems, structures, and components for nuclear facilities in compliance with ASME NQA-1 standards Advanced knowledge of material commercial availability and cost Proven ability to manage and lead large-scale projects Proficient in project setup, developing control-level schedules, progress reporting, and project close-out Practical field experience in relevant industries EPC project experience in the following sectors: U.S. Department of Energy or other U.S. Federal Government Agencies Nuclear facilities under nuclear quality assurance programs Manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries Essential Functions Analyze and provide independent recommendations for complex technical solutions in line with project requirements Develop and review specifications and design criteria Perform and verify engineering analyses, calculations, and material/equipment specifications, solving complex technical problems Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines, project management, vendors, and clients Ensure work complies with the Project Quality Plan and procedures Execute tasks in alignment with the approved project scope, cost, and schedule baselines Develop and review estimates, schedules, and progress reports, including effort-hour estimates and staff forecasts Monitor and report on material key quantities, providing analysis and forecasts Support equipment/material procurement and subcontracting activities, including scope development, technical bid evaluations, and vendor submittal reviews Provide technical support for construction administration, responding to RFIs and field changes Perform other duties as assigned MAU does not offer any sponsorship assistance for this role
