The Work

As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for both daily and long-term maintenance of our equipment. Your primary duties will include:
Supporting HVAC Operations and other facility equipment/systems.
Performing mechanical, electrical, and control support to maintain optimal equipment performance.
Conducting preventive maintenance and implementing condition monitoring methods for predictive maintenance.
Operating and maintaining a variety of mechanical equipment, including air compressors, electric motors, and HVAC systems.
Cleaning, inspecting, testing, lubricating, and filtering equipment to ensure its functionality.
Recording critical data such as temperatures, pressures, water levels, and voltages, and making necessary adjustments.
Leading projects aimed at improving equipment capabilities and increasing support for site customers.
Providing general maintenance support, including electrical and plumbing maintenance.
Maintaining exhaust systems.
You will also be expected to participate in a rotating weekend coverage schedule, working one out of every ten weekends and extended hours during site shutdown weekends.

You are a skilled technician with a background in mechanical and electrical systems. You possess:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with maintenance and operation of stationary engines and mechanical equipment.
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
A proactive approach to preventive maintenance and equipment monitoring.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and extended shifts as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
Specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks, and minimum 1-3 years of experience in power plant operation and central utility plant maintenance with demonstrated mechanical, electrical, and pipe-fitting experience.

Experience with predictive maintenance strategies, root cause analysis, and Reliability Centered Maintenance practices.

Flexibility to work multiple shifts or schedules as Facilities and equipment needs dictate
Desired Skills:
Candidate will need 4-5+ years of advanced level HVAC and CUP experience.

Experience with operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting commercial/industrial boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, generators, RO water systems, pumps, fans, variable speed drives, and chemical analysis/water treatment.

Experience with building Mechanical/HVAC installations, repairs, and operations. Knowledge of building automation (Allen Bradley, GE, Trane Tracer Summit, Siemens) in a power plant and manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of Plumbing, Electrical and general maintenance.

The candidate should have knowledge of CMMS Software with ability to drive workload and to plan, prioritize, and execute work independently and as part of a team.

The candidate will need experience with Central Utility Plant operations, and experience with general facility maintenance support.

The candidate will be required to have HVAC refrigeration certification and/or ability to quickly obtain certification.

Flexibility to work multiple shifts or schedules as Facilities and equipment needs dictate. Experience with Condition Based Maintenance and Reliability Centered Maintenance techniques, tools, and applications.

Experience with laser alignment, vibration analysis, and ultrasound techniques, tools, and applications.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $56,100 - $107,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $64,500 - $116,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
