UPMC Altoona is looking for a full-time 1st shift HVAC Journeyman!  This position does require on call.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the completion of all service work order assignments in a timely fashion. Could be scheduled for off shifts and rotation as needed. Must be available for snow removal as needed. Complies with all safety codes whether Federal, State, or local; maintains a safe work environment. Complies with established occupational exposure policies. Maintains good relations with other members of the crew, other crews, and all other departments so that work is performed in a harmonious manner. Is expected to perform any and all other duties related to facility maintenance as deemed necessary by Management that is in the best interest of the hospital, its patients, staff, and visitors. Responsible for proper operation and maintenance of systems related to building environmental system, such as, but not limited to: air handlers, chillers, heating equipment, building automation systems (BAS), medical vacuum pumps, medical air pumps and associated equipment, split system cooling equipment, ice machines and refrigerators, pneumatic tube system repairs and maintenance.
