Position Summary: This position will support our National Accounts team and manage HVAC work for clients and subcontractors. This position will act as a project support liaison between the sales department, technicians, service manager, providers and service operations ensuring that all groups participate in the successful implementation of all types of project work including emergency unit replacements, roof sweeps and planned unit replacement installations

 

Key Responsibilities:

Perform take-off of material and labor for plan and spec, negotiated and design build projects requested from General Contractors & ClientsTrack and present project progress both internally and externallyRequest equipment and material quotes from selected suppliers and sub-contractorsProvide a written proposal identifying the exact scope and exclusions.Negotiate and purchase material from suppliers.Request submittals and O&Ms on awarded projects. Review for accuracyProcess and maintain purchase orders.Provide project team with correct and up to date plans and specifications.Provide on-site project management as required.Manage budget margins and costs effectively.Coordinate project schedules to meet deadlinesAbility to train and communicate best practices to vendors and providers.Demonstrates professionalism, diplomacy, and tact to uphold company’s community reputation. Represents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and concerns.Manage all phases of projects from surveying, quoting, pricing, equipment ordering, installation and post installation and billing phases.Negotiating with providers, technicians, clients, and government municipalitiesInteract with all levels of employees and clientsFacilitate coordination among multiple entities to ensure timely project completion to include equipment audits, new startups, and any other special services or projects requiredListening, negotiating, and presentingAll other duties as assigned.Travel is required 25% to 45%

 

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred, though 3-year project management experience is considered in place of a degree.HVAC industry knowledge preferred.Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.Strong eye for detail-high level of accountability and accuracy a mustAble to efficiently multi-task, handle multiple priorities and meet important deadlines a mustProven Customer Service experienceCritical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.Strong and reasonable decision-making skills requiredJudgment and Decision Making — Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.Active Learning- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-makingAbility to multi-task, handling of multiple priorities, and meeting of deadlines a mustFast and accurate typing/keyboarding skills requiredStrong computer skills required- Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project, CMMS and/or CAFMHigh sense of responsibility and commitment to job well-done requiredAbility to follow rigid procedures and guidelines necessaryAbility to self-manage and monitor volumes to make decisions on resources needed.Ability to stand, to walk, and to climb stairs and ladders to access HVAC equipment which is often on a rooftop of the commercial building. Ability to read product data and to take measurements.
