HVAC Sales Business Development Manager
(Job Description) Large HVAC mechanical construction contracting company in Lynnwood, WA is currently hiring for a Business Development Manager. This position requires a minimum of 7+ years of relevant sales business development experience, current or recent experience in the mechanical contractor / HVAC industry experience, and someone who is comfortable with traveling as required (within the Puget Sound area). This position will not be responsible for managing direct reports. (Position Details) Title – Business Development Manager Pay – $120k/yr. - $145k/yr. + Healthy Commissions Schedule – Standard Monday - Friday Morning Shift (typically 2 days in office and 3 days out on the road) Location – Lynnwood, WA (Responsibilities) + Prospect for new project opportunities or long-term client opportunities with private clients and general contractors. + Maintain list of target clients and contact each regularly. + Use multiple sources to find new potential clients. + Cold call, warm call, set up appointments with potential clients. + Present the company’s value proposition via in-person meetings, phone, and email. + Bring in invitations to bid on private projects. + Prospect for new project opportunities with public owners. + Search multiple sources for advertised projects. + Maintain registration on public owner’s sites. + Participate in go/ no-go decision for opportunities. + Prepare detailed, professional proposals. + Procure, develop, and maintain client contacts and relationships at engineering firms. + Develop conceptual estimates for projects. + Procure, develop, and maintain client contacts and relationships. + Develop conceptual estimates for projects. + Maintain working knowledge of general conditions, work scope and specifications of project contract/subcontract. + Maintain/control documents in compliance with the company's Standards and contracts. + Be in full compliance with the company's Safety Program when on jobsites. + Be professional and uphold the company's Core Values. + Collaborate with the company's Marketing Group and provide content for marketing collateral material and proposals. + Manage early works equipment vendors/suppliers + Manage early works subcontractors + Aid in early work contract kickoff/rates/T&C’s + Regular attendance and promptness are considered part of each employee's essential job functions. (Qualifications) + (Non-negotiable) - Must have at least 7+ years of sales business development experience. + ( Non-negotiable ) - Current or recent experience within the mechanical contractor / HVAC industry. + Experience with CRM and Estimating software highly preferred. + Comfortable traveling 2-3 days a week to various clients in the Puget Sound region (utilize personal vehicle but will receive monthly stipend for gas). + Excellent negotiating ability. + Understanding of industrial customers' process and need. + Understanding of industrial construction materials and methods. + Exceptional attention to detail (errors and mistakes can result in significant financial losses). + Strong results-driven work ethic.
