How do you excel in this position\n

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for executing field service activities, including preventative maintenance, inspections, start-ups, and emergency repairs, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of systems according to design specifications and customer requirements. This role demands meticulous system troubleshooting capability, strict adherence to safety standards, and effective communication with clients to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction. \n

You should be able to repair generators, respond to emergency calls, and commission new systems. This position is part of the union and will follow the policies, benefits and perks set forth under the local's Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The hourly rate is dependent on the level of expertise and includes pension, health insurance and annuity. The Company provides the necessary tools, equipment, vehicle with gas card, clothing, laptop, and cell phone.\n

What are we looking for:\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in HVAC, or the equivalent combination of education (technical school) and experience.\nMust follow union qualification process for Journeyman standing.\nKnowledge in all facets of the HVAC industry, including but not limited to Air Conditioning, Heating, Electrical, Boilers, Humidification, Dehumidification, and Refrigeration.\nMust have universal EPA CFC certification.\nMust have 10-hour OSHA certification.\nMust be a highly motivated and an independent thinker.\nMust be able to thrive in a fast-paced, high profile (often mission critical) customer setting. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.\nKnowledge of HVAC&R theory, solid mechanical, electrical troubleshooting, and repair skills required.\nAbility to read wiring diagrams, mechanical layouts and blueprints required.\nMust have experience installing clean, dry refrigeration piping systems and associated practices.\nOperating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld devices, such as Smartphones, iPads, etc.\nValid driver's license with a clean record required.\n\n
