**Overview** The Stryten factory in Salina, Kansas is one of the largest lead-acid battery manufacturing sites in North America with 800 employees capable of producing more than 35,000 quality batteries per day. These batteries can be found in your car, in your boat or RV, or, in your lawn and garden equipment. HVAC Technicianss install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial/industrial air-conditioning equipment and multi-zone heating and cooling systems to ensure they are working efficiently, properly and affordably. Make repairs as required. + Document and track preventive maintenance accordingly and in compliance with EPA regulations. + Maintain efficient environmental conditions. Adjust system controls to recommended settings. Test system performance using special tools and test equipment. + Conserve, recover and recycle CFC and HCFC refrigerants used in A/C and refrigeration systems in compliance with EPA regulations. + Test systems for gas leaks, carbon monoxide issues, and fluid leaks. + Evaluate needs and make recommendations for correction and/or improvements + Complete all required paperwork in a timely and professional manner. + Perform other work as assigned by the supervisor. + Perform all work within the confines of Stryten safety rules and regulations. + Hazardous waste training shall be provided to the employee within six months of the date the employee filled this position, and a review of this training provided every 12 months thereafter. The employee will complete a program of classroom instruction. The employee shall be supervised until training is completed.
